Where to Buy an E-Bike in Orange County, California

A lot of Orange County riders end up on the Santa Ana River Trail Bikeway, and for good reason. OC Parks includes it among the county’s regional bikeways, where bicycles and Class 1 and Class 2 e-Bikes are permitted. If you want long, steady mileage, it’s one of the best tests for a ride. OC Parks also lists the San Diego Creek Bikeway, Peters Canyon Bikeway, Salt Creek Trail Bikeway, and Bayview Bikeway at Upper Newport Bay as part of that regional paved network.

If you want something scenic and more loop-like, the Back Bay Loop Trail in Newport Beach is a good spot to check out. It’s a 10.5-mile signed loop around Upper Newport Bay. And it’s the kind of route that quickly shows whether you want a lighter commuter, a more upright comfort bike, or something a little more utility-minded.

And if your riding is more beach-path than river-trail, Huntington Beach is worth checking out. The city says the bicycle path speed limit is 5 mph when pedestrians are present and 10 mph maximum. That is a good note that not every Orange County ride is about speed. Sometimes the right e-Bike is just the one that feels easy, predictable, and relaxing to ride when things get crowded.
